Magic Roundabout Scene 3 Brian & Potting Shed
Item # 3203359929. The bid starting price is 50.00. My guess is that it will attract a lot of bids. Unfortunatley it is not mine, but I thought I would share this with you all. Don't miss out on this one.

Just to let you know that a Magic Roundabout Potting Shed went for 1,487 this sunday (19th January) on ebay (item number 3106534588). 90 of these were made so that makes them all worth 133,830. I'm sure that would have kept Sugarlump going for a few more years!
So tell me why was the Potting Shed retired in the first place?

Absolutely amazed to see a limited edition Potting Shed currently being auctioned on Ebay and bidding at an incredible 505-00 with two hours to go!! It seems these pieces can only soar in value following your unfortunate closure. That is the one piece missing from my collection although my bank manager (not to mention my wife) won't let me stretch to that amount. It does make me wonder what my Mini Scene 3 (Brian & Potting Shed) might be worth though... |

I also am equally saddened that your wonderful reproductions company has ceased trading.
However, I am sure one day that you may rise from the ashes as I am sure another company may "lease" your moulds or you can supply to them under your Sugarlump name.
Think about it: millions of adults with fond memories of the TV characters your produced would "snap up" your models if they were re-introduced.
Has anyone got "Parsley" they want to sell? I am at: jamesprice@bushinternet.com.
It was thanks to your zest for business that Sugarlump provided jobs and gave joy to adults and children alike. Not a bad legacy that!

Hello all who read!!!
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone @ the sugarlump studio and I echo a lot of comments below and wish all the best for Andrew and his staff for the future.
I feel myself very lucky to own all the Magic Roundabout complete set including the limited editions and the much desired 'POTTING SHED' - yes there is someone out here that owns one!!!
If it was not for the Sugarpump studio i would not have started to collect Magic Roundabout 'stuff' - now my living room is a shrine to Dougal!!!

I am saddened to hear that Sugarlump Studios are no more. I too am after Magic Roundabout Mini Scene 3 with Brian and the Potting Shed. It was suggested that this piece was limited to 499 signed pieces. However, having rung every contactable supplier in the list, it doesn't appear that 499 pieces actually reached the shop shelves. Did you make 499 pieces? And if so please help me find one of them so that I can complete my set.
Also after the Potting Shed on it's own.

I have heard through the grapevine that you had some unpainted scenes that may go on sale is this true? I am devastated the studio is closed! My mum has just begun collecting the Clangers and has Tiny, Small and Grannie and I wanted to get her the other 8 pieces for Xmas! Sorry, I am selling a Magic Roundabout collection which was my husbands. He collected the pieces. I thought looking at the pictures and descriptions on the site that I did have a Potting Shed. I'm afraid the Sugarlump Studio has no Potting Sheds left (and is in any case no longer trading). There were only 90 sheds ever made, so they are very rare and sought after.

Further to my Guest Book entry 118 (re: where could I buy Ermintrude toys) I duly telephoned your suggestion in Meadowhall, unfortunately they had run out of stock of Ermintrude's and did not know when or indeed if they would get any more. They did not know where I could purchase them either!
I searched through "GOOGLE" and came up with a website www.mailorder2000.co.uk whom I contacted, and they are sending me my beanie Ermintrude together with a mug and a keyring!!
I thought everyone might wish to know about this site which sells all characters from the Magic Roundabout as well as other "cult" characters.

Message really to SugarLump Studio's, your sad passing is a real shame. You mention in your news page that "This web site will continue to exist as long as possible to provide a reference source for our figures."
As the owner of an ISP, I am willing to host, manage and do all the other domain name charges in order to keep this site live at no charge basically forever. This is my way of saying thank you for producing such wonderful figurines.

There is already a second hand market, especially for figures which have been retired for some time. Now that all of the current figures are retired (see News page for details) it is likely that demand will increase as collectors try to complete their sets. I'm afraid we can't really advise on secondary values... probably your best bet is to start checking e-Bay every now and then, or one of the other large online auction sites. |

I was mortified when I found out the Studio had ceased production.
