Comments For all of you who have missed out on Scene 3, I have seen one today on eBay. The details are as follows:
Magic Roundabout Scene 3 Brian & Potting Shed
Item # 3203359929. The bid starting price is 50.00. My guess is that it will attract a lot of bids. Unfortunatley it is not mine, but I thought I would share this with you all. Don't miss out on this one.
Good luck
P.S. I have one that is why I will not bid on it!

Comments Sorry to say guys, further to my previous note, the potting shed on Ebay was sold at 1487.00 (19/01/03)... very, very collectable - good luck to the rest of you still hunting!

Comments Just to let you know that a Magic Roundabout Potting Shed went for 1,487 this sunday (19th January) on ebay (item number 3106534588). 90 of these were made so that makes them all worth 133,830. I'm sure that would have kept Sugarlump going for a few more years!
So tell me why was the Potting Shed retired in the first place?
Thanks, James

Comments Absolutely amazed to see a limited edition Potting Shed currently being auctioned on Ebay and bidding at an incredible 505-00 with two hours to go!! It seems these pieces can only soar in value following your unfortunate closure. That is the one piece missing from my collection although my bank manager (not to mention my wife) won't let me stretch to that amount. It does make me wonder what my Mini Scene 3 (Brian & Potting Shed) might be worth though...

Comments I also am equally saddened that your wonderful reproductions company has ceased trading.
However, I am sure one day that you may rise from the ashes as I am sure another company may "lease" your moulds or you can supply to them under your Sugarlump name.
Think about it: millions of adults with fond memories of the TV characters your produced would "snap up" your models if they were re-introduced.
Has anyone got "Parsley" they want to sell? I am at: jamesprice@bushinternet.com.
It was thanks to your zest for business that Sugarlump provided jobs and gave joy to adults and children alike. Not a bad legacy that!
Good luck.

Comments Really gutted to hear it all end as loved collecting the Herbs. I think I own a complete collection although I have been told that Lady Rosemary was released and I don't have her... can anyone tell me if any more were released other than the ones on the website? My email address is djones@regent.co.uk
Sugarlump Studio Comments To put your mind at rest, we can confirm that absolutely every figure that has ever been released by the Sugarlump Studio is currently shown on this web site.

Comments I am interested to know how many of each of the figures in The Magic Roundabout collection were made. I would also be interested to know if anyone knows were I can get Scene 3 to complete my collection?
P.S. Extremely sad to hear it all had to end, the collections are such a joy.

Comments Hello all who read!!!
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone @ the sugarlump studio and I echo a lot of comments below and wish all the best for Andrew and his staff for the future.
I feel myself very lucky to own all the Magic Roundabout complete set including the limited editions and the much desired 'POTTING SHED' - yes there is someone out here that owns one!!!
If it was not for the Sugarpump studio i would not have started to collect Magic Roundabout 'stuff' - now my living room is a shrine to Dougal!!!
If anybody has anything else to do with the Magic Roundabout that you would like to sell please could you e-mail lucy.nigel@btopenworld.com
Once again thank you to the Sugarlump Studio, I will miss you.
Lucy.

Comments I am saddened to hear that Sugarlump Studios are no more. I too am after Magic Roundabout Mini Scene 3 with Brian and the Potting Shed. It was suggested that this piece was limited to 499 signed pieces. However, having rung every contactable supplier in the list, it doesn't appear that 499 pieces actually reached the shop shelves. Did you make 499 pieces? And if so please help me find one of them so that I can complete my set.
Also after the Potting Shed on it's own.
If anyone has an idea of where to find either of these pieces please contact me: roy.geo@yahoo.com
Many thanks for an excellently produced collectible, bringing back many wonderful childhood memories. Hope Andrew gets back on his feet soon.
Booiiiinnggg, Time for Bed said Zebedee ;)
Sugarlump Studio Comments As mentioned before, we are trying to work out exact production figures for all the characters. Once they're assembled we will add the information to the site so please be patient. Unfortunately, since the Sugarlump Studio is no longer open, we can't really help you find missing pieces other than suggesting that you contact shops who have recently stocked the figures, or search the Internet.

Comments Please could you tell me how many of Mini Scene 3 were produced as I am having great difficulty tracking one down (as are many others by the look of it!) I have heard through the grapevine that you had some unpainted scenes that may go on sale is this true? As I have every other piece in the collection any help you could give me in securing this scene (even if it was unpainted) would be fantastic.
Sugarlump Studio Comments We are trying to work out exact production figures for this and other characters. Once they're assembled we will add the information to the site so please be patient.

Comments Hello Sugarlump,
Very sad to hear your company has 'gone under'. Of course, you do realise that you have thus gained 'immortality'! Just ask the man at Ottima's in Croydon. He's going mental trying to find some of your more collectable merchandise. I reckon anyone with that 'No3 Potting Shed' will be able to trade it in for a penthouse in a few years time. Speaking of which, I located a 'Magic Roundabout' (ex-window display) for a mere 70. Perhaps loads of these were produced? Can you enlighten me?
Sugarlump Studio Comments Interesting question! We are trying to work out the exact number, but we're talking under 300 ever produced... probably more like 200-250. If we are able to work out exact figures for this and other characters, then we will add the information to the site.

Comments I am desperately looking for a Magic Roundabout Mini Scene 3 with Brian and the Potting Shed. I think I have contacted all of the shops on the list on the Sugarlump Website and have still been unsuccessful. Does anyone have a scene they would like to part with or know any little shop that may have one? I would be greatful for any help. Thanks.

Comments I am devastated the studio is closed! My mum has just begun collecting the Clangers and has Tiny, Small and Grannie and I wanted to get her the other 8 pieces for Xmas! Can anyone help, does anywhere you know have them? I need Uncle, Auntie, Major, Mother, Froglet, Blue string pudding, Moonbase and Major's Rocket - preferably somewhere that could do mail order! Please please help!

Comments Sorry, I am selling a Magic Roundabout collection which was my husbands. He collected the pieces. I thought looking at the pictures and descriptions on the site that I did have a Potting Shed. The retailer told us we had all the figures. I have unfortunately not got a Potting Shed. I do however have characters and Roundabout for sale. Sorry to cause you all so much disappointment.

Comments Like others I am saddened that you have had to close your doors!
Could you send me Denise Lambert's email address as I am very interested in purchasing her potting shed.

Sugarlump Studio Comments I'm afraid we can't pass on e-mail addresses or other contact information without permission, or unless it was included in the body of the Guest Book entry itself (as your was). Instead, I've passed your message on to Denise so that she can get in touch with you if she wants.
Good luck with your hunt.

Comments With reference to my recent entry - 119 (04-10-2002). Thank you for clarifying about the SAD news of Sugarlump. Maybe Sugarlump will become revived on the release of the Magic Rounadbout film next year - I truly hope so!!
Does Sugarlump (or anyone) have any of the Potting Sheds for sale?
Please try and help a devoted fan.
Sugarlump Studio Comments I'm afraid the Sugarlump Studio has no Potting Sheds left (and is in any case no longer trading). There were only 90 sheds ever made, so they are very rare and sought after.
Good luck with your hunt.

Comments Further to my Guest Book entry 118 (re: where could I buy Ermintrude toys) I duly telephoned your suggestion in Meadowhall, unfortunately they had run out of stock of Ermintrude's and did not know when or indeed if they would get any more. They did not know where I could purchase them either!
I searched through "GOOGLE" and came up with a website www.mailorder2000.co.uk whom I contacted, and they are sending me my beanie Ermintrude together with a mug and a keyring!!
I thought everyone might wish to know about this site which sells all characters from the Magic Roundabout as well as other "cult" characters.
Happy Hunting!!
Sugarlump Studio Comments Thanks for letting us know about your hunt... hopefully this information will be useful to others as well :o)

Comments Message really to SugarLump Studio's, your sad passing is a real shame. You mention in your news page that "This web site will continue to exist as long as possible to provide a reference source for our figures."
As the owner of an ISP, I am willing to host, manage and do all the other domain name charges in order to keep this site live at no charge basically forever. This is my way of saying thank you for producing such wonderful figurines.

Comments I have a Magic Roundabout, characters and the Potting Shed. Could you advise me if there is a second hand market, I am having to sell due to house move... could you please advise secondary value? Thank you.
Sugarlump Studio Comments There is already a second hand market, especially for figures which have been retired for some time. Now that all of the current figures are retired (see News page for details) it is likely that demand will increase as collectors try to complete their sets. I'm afraid we can't really advise on secondary values... probably your best bet is to start checking e-Bay every now and then, or one of the other large online auction sites.

Comments I have what I believe is the complete collection of the Magic Roundabout (including the Potting Shed and 1st two miniature scenes) and have looked forward to each new figure with eager anticipation. I was mortified when I found out the Studio had ceased production. Please could you let me know if Scene 3 (Brian and Potting Shed) ever went on sale, and if so where I could find one as I would be devastated if I could not complete my collection.
Sugarlump Studio Comments We're happy to report that the 3rd Mini Scene did go on sale. Your best bet is to ring round a few shops (as soon as possible) to see if any still have stocks. Contact details are available on the Shops page. Good luck in completing your collection.

Comments As you have been very helpful in the past when I have written to your good selves - I was wondering if you can help me once again. I have mislaid my plan for the clangers moonbase (showing where each figure should be placed). Would it be possible for you to send me another copy please? Thank you. Nigel.
Sugarlump Studio Comments Hopefully the picture on The Clangers Collection page will be able to answer your question as it shows the Clangers properly arranged on their Moonbase (I used the plan when getting them ready for their photo).
