Comments Well, what can I say... I have always loved our much loved bagpuss. I amongst most, have known him since he first began. My collection is continuously growing, still searching for more collectables. This site is what I can only describe as EXCELLENT.
I am however on a mad search for bagpuss wallpaper. I do hold quite a healthy collection of literature of names and address, I just don't have the wallpaper retailer.
Please continue to do such an interesting and helpful site.
Thank you.

Comments I have been informed by the Collectors Guild that you have gone into recievership. Is this true? I did not believe this so I contacted a shop who sells your items. They are not able to contact you. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO SUGARLUMP STUDIOS?? The fans who buy your collections need to know.
Sugarlump Studio Comments I'm afraid it's true that the Sugarlump Studio has been forced to close it's doors, mostly due to the rising cost of manufacturing in the UK. Please see the News page for more details.

Comments I have just purchased the beautiful miniature of Ermintrude and I wonder if you can please let me know if I am able to put it in the window shelf of my wonderful 2CV car without Ermintrude melting etc?!?! Any comments you could give me would be much appreciated.
Also I should like to be able to purchase a "nodding" Ermintrude for the car and wondered if you had any idea whether they are made or not? Any Ermintrude memorabilia can be assured of a happy home with us in gorgeous Cornwall!
I love the figure and keep up the great work.
Thankyou and I look forward to hearing from you.
Take care dearhearts!!!x
Sugarlump Studio Comments Ermintrude won't melt, but she's rather a delicate old moo so you need to be careful she doesn't get bumped or bounced too much otherwise she might break! Also, her colours might eventually fade if she's left in the sun all the time.
I have to admit I've never seen a "nodding" ermintrude, and I couldn't find one when searching the internet either. Maybe an Ermintrude beanbag would sit nicely in your car? I've seen them for sale in "The Last Picture Show" in Meadowhall (they have an online shop at www.starstore.com).

Comments I collect the Herbs series which I love. In the green booklet that comes with the figures it has said for some time that BELLADONNA is 'coming soon' - but there is no mention of her on the website. Is it in production for the future or not? I hope she is!!
Sugarlump Studio Comments Please keep a look out on the News page, as an important announcement regarding future figures will be released in the next week or two.

Comments When will the new figures in the Herbs range be available... any chance they will be in time for Xmas? Is there any chance of the Sky Moos, Cloud, Music Tree or Iron Chicken Nest to go with the Clangers range? Just purchased The Magic Roundabout Mini Scene - are there many more to come out?
Sugarlump Studio Comments Please keep a look out on the News page, as an important announcement regarding future figures will be released in the next week or two.

Comments I just wanted to say how wonderful it is to see great television programmes being reproduced in the way that you do. In particular I live for the Magic Roundabout, and think that your meticulous eye for detail makes each of the figures that I own especially special.
Thank you.

Comments Hi! There I was in Gloucester today and bought The Magic Roundabout Scene 1 from my usual reliable stockist and I enquired after Scene 2 as I'm Ermintrude crazy and she said they'd never had it in stock and had never heard of it. I can see it's been out a while so are they still out there or am I out of luck?? I'll be in the Lincoln/Nottingham area next week if that's any help??
Sugarlump Studio Comments The Magic Roundabout Mini Scene 2 is still available from nearly all the stockists listed on our Shops pages (and some of the shops offer a mail order facility). If you still have trouble finding one, please contact the Sugarlump Studio directly by telephone and we'll point you in the right direction.

Comments Any plans to produce Chorlton and the Wheelies?
Sugarlump Studio Comments I'm afraid there are no plans to produce figures from this series at present, but a few people have asked about this so you never know!

Comments When will you release more Bagpuss figures?
Sugarlump Studio Comments You'll be glad to know Madeleine the Rag Doll is now half way through being sculpted. Also, Bayleaf from the Herbs collection has been sculpted and is passing through the normal production process. Please check the News page of this web site every now and then, as all new figures appear on the site as soon as they are available.

Comments Aha, we're finally working again. Any more news on Bayleaf and Belladonna from the Herbs collection? You said you were planting them this time last year but production seems to have withered.
Sugarlump Studio Comments Thank you for persevering with the Guest Book... I'm afraid we had some technical problems with our Internet Service Provider for a while, but it's working fine again now. I have to confess we got a bit excited over the discovery of Lunar Bugs, and have also been busy with work on the 3rd Magic Roundabout Mini Scene. Good news though... Bayleaf is almost sculpted and ready to be sent off to the Herbs people so they can approve the colours. This means that with luck he should be available by the end of the summer.

Comments I've loved The Clangers (which I bought over a few years for a friend) and The Herbs (which I'm treating myself to). Now "Lunar Bugs" and "Jock In A Box" appear. Understandably you want to expand your repertoire, but is this why we're having to wait so long for more beloved characters. Where's Bayleaf, Lady Rosemary etc, etc?

Comments At the moment I have the Magic Roundabout collection that is great but I have just been to cscollectables.co.uk and they say you have a new set of figures that are called Lunar Bugs that look groovy... is this true they are yours? If so how much are they and when will they be in the shops? Thanks, Clare.
Sugarlump Studio Comments The Lunar Bugs do belong to us... they are a brand new set of figures and will be available in the shops very soon. Full details of all the characters in the range will be appearing on this web site within the next two weeks so please keep checking.

Comments What are the chances of me getting that very rare Potting Shed? Like many others out there I would really love to have this to complete my collection and to shut my partner up... "You will never get that in a million years", which he often loves to tell me. I know it's out there somewhere so I will never give up looking. Please contact me if you know where it is. I will be willing to pay good money for it. Thank you. Miss Jackie Smith.

Comments I have just been bought my first today for my anniversary and came to see what else you do... any idea if you will be making a Madeline and when because the set wouldn't be complete without her, and my husband would like to know if you will please please please make a Willo the Wisp set?
Sugarlump Studio Comments We hope Madeline will appear some time in the future, although she is one of the charaters who will be very difficult to reproduce successfully using the medium we use for our figures. I'm afraid there are currently no plans for a Willo the Wisp collection... but your husband is not the only one to ask, so you never know!

Comments I know all your Clangers figures are brilliant but I was wondering are you going to do the Sky Moo figures, if so that would be great! Thanks.
Sugarlump Studio Comments Hello again Kimberley! Sky Moos have been talked about here at Sugarlump, but I'm afraid there are no plans at present. As we've said in other Guest Book entry replies, we promise to put details of new figures on the web site as soon as they are available.

Comments What a great site... ever since I got my first Magic Roundabout piece I was hooked on your figurines. Just one question are you going to produce any more Clangers, say one of the Sky-Moos?
Sugarlump Studio Comments No plans for more Clangers figures just at the moment, I'm afraid... but they may appear in the future.

Comments Hi Sugarlump Studios,
I have noticed that a fair few online stores advertise Captain Pugwash from Yvonne Clark Studios together with your collections. Are you linked in any way?
Many thanks Carol Cook.
Sugarlump Studio Comments No there is no link. The only products the Sugarlump Studio makes are shown on this web site... the Captain Pugwash figures are totally seperate from us.

I recommend you check the following website, as I have just managed to purchase the entire set and they may have some left. I recommend telephoning them rather than ordering online: www.worldcollectorsnet.com.

Comments Please can u tell me where I can get Sweep from Sooty and co? Any sweeps I can get?
Sugarlump Studio Comments Bad news I'm afraid... the Sooty & Friends collection was "retired" in October 1999 i.e. no more figures were made after this date. This means it is now very unlikely that you'll be able to find any of the figures in the shops which stock Sugarlump Studio miniatures. It might be worth looking at some of the online auction sites to see if anyone is selling any of the figures second hand. You can find out about the figures which were made on the Sooty page in the Retirement Village. Good luck with your search.

Comments I love the sugarlump site. But wouldn't it be more helpful if you could put prices on the site too?
Sugarlump Studio Comments We have so far avoided putting prices on the web site because we don't usually sell direct to the public. You are right that it would be helpful for people though, and we will probably be adding "RRP" prices in the near future.
